Infernal/Self Titled/House Of Kicks/Hellspawn/1999 CD Review

Infernal  are  a  band  from  Sweden  that  plays  a  very  heavy  and  fast  form  of  black  metal  that  they call  Satanic  Holocaust  Metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  self  titled  1999  album  which  was  released  as  a  joint  effort  between  House  Of  Kicks  and  Hellspawn.

Drums  range  from  mid  paced  to  fast  drumming  with  a  great  amount  of  brutal  sounding  blast  beats  being  thrown  into  the  music,  while  the  bass  playing  has  a  very  dark  tone  with  riffs  that  follow  the  riffing  that  is  coming  out  of  the  guitars.

Rhythm  guitars  range  from  mid  paced  to  fast  black  metal  riffs  that  are  very  raw  and  primitive  sounding  while  adding  a  good  amount  of  heaviness  and  dark  sounding  melodies  into  the  riffing,  while  the  lead  guitars  are  very  fast  and  melodic  sounding  black  metal  guitar  solos  and  leads.

Vocals  are  mostly  high  pitched  black  metal  screams  along  with  some  deep  demonic  growls,  while the  lyrics  cover  Satanic  and  War  themes,  as  for  the  production  it  has  a  very  dark,  heavy,  and  powerful  sound  to  it  while  not  taking  away  from  the  raw  and  primitive  nature  of  the  music.

In  my  opinion  Infernal  are  a  very  great  sounding  heavy  and  fast  satanic  black  metal  band  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  this style  of  music,  you  should  check  out  this  recording.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Requiem  (The  Coming  Of  The  Age  Of  Satan)"  and  "Storms  Of  Armageddon".  RECOMMENDED  BUY.
